Amtrak. Amtrak travels to over 500 destinations in 46 states, giving you the best views the country has to offer. We go to all major cities, including Williamsburg, Newport News, Washington DC and New York. Please follow the link to the official Amtrak website to find out where you could travel.
Greyhound Buses. Amtrak passengers use Greyhound to make connections to cities not served by rail on Amtrak Thruway service, by purchasing a ticket for the bus connection from Amtrak in conjunction with the purchase of their rail ticket. If passengers desire, they may also buy a bus ticket directly from Greyhound.
Bridges and Tunnels. Hampton Roads’ natural assets have made it one of the busiest ports on the East Coast. York County is within 45 minutes of three international airports, and offers easy access to the Port of Hampton Roads, the world's largest natural harbor. The Port of Hampton Roads is the second busiest port facility, fastest growing seaport, and the largest intermodal facility on the East Coast, and is within 30 minutes of most sites in the County. Newport News-Williamsburg International Airport is one mile from I-64 and no more than 15 minutes from any point in the City.
